New Formula, Field Tested and Fig Approved!
Great news for our clients! The entire Purple Fig team is now using the new formula developed through research on essential oils.
Previously, we were using the very effective vinegar and water mix, sprinkling baking soda where necessary. We had essential Peppermint oil to cut through the vinegar smell and leave things fresh and minty. While the Peppermint smelled great, it wasn’t really doing it’s fair share of work.

Mixing spoken word with Oddfellow’s trademark pastoral electronica and psych-folk, the narrative follows the Don through Sheffield and into the Pennines back in time and back through history to its source, in search of the water goddess Danu, who gave the river its name.
After some research into essential oils and the benefits of some of them, we discovered that Eucalyptus and Lemon oil do amazing things. They are antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and antibiotic. This means that they will kill germs and mold if used properly and in the right amounts. Eucalyptus is also a natural pest deterrent! We also added Grapefruit just to round out the citrus note and make sure the Eucalyptus wasn’t too overwhelming.
The field tests have been a resounding success. I’m seeing less pests on the counters after cleaning with this formula and it smells so fresh and clean that many clients have commented on how they love walking in their home after we’re done. We also know that we’re helping to cut down on bacteria, mold and fungus in our client’s homes and that’s a great feeling!
Cleaning just got even happier!
